Nearly another year flown by and spring already turning to summer. Much needed rain brings blooms and new leaves. The violets’ flowering peaked around Beltane; I dried some for tea and herbcraft, made jelly and began a tincture. The success of extracting essential oils remains to be seen—I will know when tonight’s storm passes, and I am safe to leave the basement, returning to my kitchen.
Progress has been only the little steps, but as the energy around me increases, I am inspired and encouraged to do more. Starters for the garden beds—to be prepared soon—grow quickly in small trays in my living room. Other seeds await planting in pots and window boxes; no later than the weekend, citronella and lemongrass must be seeded, for the mosquitoes are returning.
Music and DruidCast uplift, remind and inspire. I am learning the rhythms of my “new” home, still settling in, but more acquainted, more aware.
